yeah its such a shame

They went and developed a game that they thought would be better to bring in newer (hopefully more) players by dumbing it down relative to Tribes 1 and 2 thus shunning the veteran players who didn't want to downgrade their experience. So when they see such terrible adoption rates because the diehard fan base didn't care for it enough to buy up enough copies to keep the execs happy, they cut support for it almost immediately because they think its a sinking ship instead of giving it a chance to attract the newer fan base it was built to cater to.

Textbook case of mismanagement - the game was doomed to failure before it was even released.

No, they started on the road of killing the franchise with Tribes 2 (which I thought was a pretty good game). Dynamix is gone. Tribes is dead.
