Anyone still play Battlefield 1942?

BF1942 was one of my favorite PC games ever, and still is. After the crap heaps that were BF2 and BF2142 came out, lots of people went for the new games leaving BF1942 behind. I still have my BF cds though and was thinking about installing it again, are populated servers still pretty easy to find or will it just be lots and lots of abandoned servers? Thanks.
 
heh, I was just thinking of reinstalling it myself and playing again. I enjoy BF2 and have not yet tried 2142, but 1942 was definitely my favorite. But, its probably gone the way of Tribes 2, still good, but its following has moved on leaving it with not too many servers.

Look around the EA website. I know that when I realized I had lost my BF2 cd-key, I went searching on the site and found out that I could send them one of the CDs, and like five bucks, and they would send me a new key. I don't remember where exactly on the site that was, though.
 
Funny you bumped this today, was just talking about it last night.

Yeah it's the best of the series, people get lost in the graphics of the newer ones (BF2 and 2142) and forget to notice how bad the gameplay actually is. BF1942 and Road To Rome were by far the best of the series, before the evil giant EA completely re-hauled the whole team.
