I've spent literally 7 hours making bids on priceline and no luck, can't get ANY savings off of what airlines list on their website... leaving around the 15th of June and returning around the 18th of July.

Edit: I can't believe some of you actually thought I was asking for $800 for all 3 of us :disgust:

dude, it probably not gonna happen especially during peak season. Either go to a travel agent and see what they can do (they buy tickets in bulck so you might luck out) or you can try going on standbye, but that's also a long shot. You've got about a month, work your ass off and try to save more money.

well, i think if you are military you can "hop" a ride to japan for free and come back for free too. but gotta be military.

other than that, see if there's a cheap trip to another country nearby: i.e. korea, china, taiwan, and see if you can get a cheap ticket to japan from there. i doubt it will work but ideally both tickets added together may be cheaper than one ticket from here to japan directly.

last resort, see if you can get to the tip of alaska's little islands and take a ship to japan. not sure how much that would cost.

Get 3 buddy pass and fly standby. You still have to pay tax but $800 might cover all 3.
