Anyone setup remote CAT5 digital signage/monitors?

I'm looking for a very simple multi-monitor system for a corporate office location, want to run a PowerPoint presentation and broadcast to 5 or 6 IP-connected monitors. Any guidance? I'm googling around too but thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

I've used DVI-to-CAT5 monitor extenders before, but they weren't quite IP-connected monitors. The CAT5 lines were dedicated point to point links, not IP. I'm sure IP would be more reliable since it would go through existing infrastructure and routers. Of the ~55 monitors I helped setup with these links, maybe 5 of them would occasionally lose the signal, probably due to attenuation in the wire.
