Why the hell didn't you tell your brother-in-law that you already had and sold one because you didn't like it? Trying not be rude, but instead you waste his money.
<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Well, if you didnt finish or even really like zelda or metroid, then maybe console gaming just isnt your thing.</end quote></div>
I've been a hardcore gamer, console and computer, for quite a while and I HATE the new Metroid games. The Zelda games are uninteresting to me as well.

How long did you actually try playing it? I mean did you actually put some time into any of the games? Or did you just pop each game in for an hour or two and give up?

I put each game in for 5 mintes and decided I hated them.
I gave the games plenty of time. I can usually tell if I like a game or not within the 1st few minutes.
I played and finished all of Metal Slug (but this isn't really a Wii game). I played Zelda up to the part where you have to Sumo wrestle the guy in the mountain. I just couldn't get into it. Red Steel's contols just suck. I tried several times to play that games but its next to impossible. I got to like the 3rd or 4th set of events in Rayman but the mini-games were just tedious.
I was really excited about the Wii before and shortly after I got it. Like I said before, the system has great potential, Nintendo and the other devs just aren't doing anything with it yet.

Which is a fairly empty statement since of the next gen consoles only the 360 has any title depth at the moment.
But I do know that come end of the year there will be exactly one system where you are holding your lightsaber as you hack away at the badies. 😉
then they need to get moving and get those games out now, not later. too late to do me any good.

I'll be sure to send the companies a note when the next cycle of consoles start production to let them know they can't start selling them until the first years worth on softwae titles are ready to be shipped because pontifex said so.

I admit my telepathy isn't working well these days, so I tend to just go by what is said.

Bah this thread is kind of depressing. I heard all sorts of great things about the Wii and I decided I wanted to get one. I am totally a PC gamer, the last consoles I played were PS1 and N64. I thought the Wii was different enough from the PCish 360 and PS3 to be a nice change. So far I bought Zelda (which I've played for about 2 hours and love it so far), Rayman (which I find to be funny, but really hard and not that interesting) and Blazing Angels (which I played for 10 minutes and don't like it already, the graphics aren't very good ). I'm worried that I will finish Zelda and then end up selling my Wii too based on what I am hearing here. I guess I will hold out for Mario Galaxy and Metroid but what I really want is RPG and adventure games, which Zelda is the only one now. I think the Wii has definite potential but there just aren't any other good games out.
