anyone seen this ?

i was putting away the box for my sapphire hd3870x2 when i noticed this:

someone has taped over the "PCI express version 2.0" info with plain "PCI expess".
has anyone seen this before ? does this mean that my card does not have PCIe 2.0?
it has been performing less than expected.

they prolly had a bazillion boxes laying around with the old standard on them... cheaper to add a sticker than toss boxes

but that card never came without pci-e v2.0, did it?
i mean the box says it uses v2.0 but the sticker don't.

they may have had pci-e2.0 as an idea during the design stages, created the box art, then printed it, then didn't go with 2.0 spec.

cheaper to just put the sticker up than to redesign & reprint boxes.

yea that sounds like an explanation. but the radeon hd3870x2 is suppose to be a PCIe 2.0 card. the interfacebetween the gpus are 1.1 though.
