Anyone seen this proxy? (seti)

Possessed Freak was hosting it, but has since shutdown. Pending the @home shutdown, I'm hosting the Federation Queue at

federation.2y.net under port 443 (SSL port which is usually open - Thanks again Soni)

Stats....

Federation Queue

Remember, @home shuts down...so does my Queue !! 🙁

Nevermind just scanned my ports and it seems that the only one I have open is 139.:|

Looks like the school descided to clamp down today as 5001 was open earlier this morning. Oh well looks lik ethey didn't like my idea to run seti on their computers, bu tthe could have just told me.:|

PM the client you need to have connect on port 139 and I can set it to go there 🙂

At least we can give it a try

Hmmm....I would find it hard to believe that they blocked all the ports "OUTGOING"? I can see "INCOMING", but outgoing? Nothing would work including www access? Hmmm....

😕

I'm not sure I'm not real savy with this stuff. I just downloaded some port sniffer program (port detective) and that is the only one that it told me was open. I tried all of the common ports (80, 21, 23, 25, 143...ect.). The environment is desktops running win 2k on a Novell network.

I don't get it either.

port 139 is your local lan netbois, this allows you access to other computers in you work group for file, printer and other types of sharing.

they have done something on the novell side to block ports, but i know nothing about novell

What really sucks is I can't view the stats from the proxy while I'm in class.😛

Orangekid.teamanandtech.com:8080 is fine but Orangekid.teamanandtech.com:8080 is blocked.🙁

If you can find out which version of Novell, I might be able to help ya out. If it's a Novell thing, then they've probably installed BorderManager to lock it down, or whatever the latest product like BM is.

hmmmmmmmmm, someone must have noticed all the traffic on port 5001.........we could try something like 8081 for that client but sooner or later they'll block that too.

best to talk to the powers that be and see if they'll let the traffic on 5001 continue

At work I don't have Internet access (only a completely closed intranet...). At home, I download WU's with the old version of setiq, put them on a CD-RW, bring them at work, put them in my local old setiq directory and have my new setiqueue pointing to the old setiq. Then I collect the result in the old setiq directory, zip them and e-mail them back to me at home. Then I can flush with the old setiq... 😉

Not simple... 🙁 but it works and let me able to run a setiqueue on the intranet. 🙂

Note : I have ADSL access (512/128 kbps) at home. 🙂

At work I have a SetiQueue that two of us use. Company has a firewalll so I use a dialup connection to connect to OK's Proxy.
