Hmm cool, so if you're on a corporate network or something you don't have to worry about people sniffing your traffic and knowing what you are searching for. Neat.

Though, I have heard that SSL is suseptable(sp?) to monkey in the middle attacks, so still not 100% secure.

Doesn't help much once you leave Google and follow any of the search results though.
