Anyone seen or played "Devil May Cry"?

Just got it for Optimus' 25th B-day which is tomorrow.

Now, I've only been watching it for like 10 minutes, but already my hubby has declared he's leaving me for this game(LOL) and I must admit the graphics and style are amazing.

Is it just me or does it seem a hell of a lot like "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night"?? I swear the Main character is almost a dead ringer for Alucard, son of Dracula.
I also cannot believe the resemblance of the castle to the castle in Disney's Beauty and The Beast. Only even more creepy and impressive.(sorry, woman's perspective coming out, there)

Thus far Optimus is enjoying his b-day gift, but I'm wondering if anyone else has played it and what you guys thought.

I've only played the demo, but it does make my mouth water. DMC has quite a few resemblences, the first of which I noticed, is the story being similar to the classic movie Vampire Hunter D.

two of my friend got it yesterday, it looked pretty cool.
He got to the forth or fifth level then died and had to go back almost an hour.

From what I've read it seems like a must-have and at some point I'll play it.

What makes this game so great is that it has the challenge and fun factor of exactly what you related it to, Elita1 - Castlevania. I haven't had an action game that was THIS much fun since SotN. It's harder than sh!t; I've never EVER died this many times while playing a game, but that's part of what makes it so darn good.

Think Streetfighter with monsters... yet somehow very addictive and AWSOME! This game has my friend and I addicted!

She's not exagerating - DMC ownz me right now.

I m blown away! Take the main character and spookiness of Castlevania: SOTN, the controls of... Metal Gear Solid meets Mario 64 I guess (Its incredible), and the kick-ass-ness of a John Woo flick....


This is such a great game!!!!!!!
