I watched it about 15 yrs ago and I hardly remember what it was about. Now that I'm older and understand how things are now, I'm thinking about watching it again. My family is from Cambodia and I'm not sure if it'll just piss me off even more if I did watch it.
 
I remember watching it when if first came out. The only scene I remember clearly was when the parents were talking about the refugees crapping in the yard. I'll have to watch it again, because I'm pretty sure that wasn't the whole theme of the movie.

Edit - strangely enough, I was *just* listening to "Holiday in Cambodia" before I clicked this tread....spooky
 
Yea, I remember the movie.. I was still in middle school and it pissed me off. Pretty much, the movie made me the gun nut that I am today 🙂 My family is also from SE asia.
