He didn't have to trample him the way he did. I bet he could stepped around him and still field the ball.

yeah and I bet the can kindly ask each other to stop running with the ball instead of tackling. However that would be extremely gay and not football. Football is a collision sport this was a clean play. If you can't take the heat play golf.

I'd be interested to hear if anything happens to Lawrence Timmons.

Sincerely doubt it as it was hardly intentional. His foot was already in the air before Williams settled to the ground. His head was also looking upfield towards the ball, not down at Williams where it would have needed to be if he was trying to make sure he stepped on him.

It looked like an accident to me as well. However, with the way the NFL has been, I wouldn't be suprised if something came of this.

don't be a idiot.

there is a huge diffrence between a hard tackle and stomping on someone with spikes. I think he could have avoided stomping on him if he tried and still got the ball.

It doesn't look like he purposely stepped on Ricky. Do you know how fast those plays are happening. I'm sure the guy didn't even have time to think "oh man, there's Ricky, I don't care for him and his antics, I'm going to step on him". No he was probably thinking "I'm going for the tackle, dang the ball is lose and there are bodies everywhere, I gotta get to that ball"

I got stepped on tons of times playing football... it happens all the time. It does suck that Ricky's season is over... I still like him and, for what it is worth, I feel sorry for the guy.

I'll bet poor Ricky is heartbroken. He only came back because he needs the $, now he can sit on the sidelines toking his shiz and still collect a paycheck. I got $10 that says he finds a doc to write him a scrip for "medicinal herbs" to ease the pain.

Sure he could've. BUT WHY?

Why the hell should he try to avoid him when going for a fumble? He reduces the likelihood of actually getting the ball (he probably would've had to fall to the ground to avoid Ricky), and putting the actual outcome of the fumble aside, in a game like that a fumble recovery could've drastically changed it.

If someone inadvertently gets hurt, tough titties. If someone maliciously hurts another player, that's when there's a problem.

not being an idiot. All bets are off during a fumble. he has one job. Fall on the ball. If you step on a babies face in the process so be it. The players are on instinct during a fumble they arent thinking the cleanest prettiest way to get the ball they are thinking that fucking ball is mine I'm going to get it sucks for you if your in my way....

Wow, didn't know it was that bad. Out for 6 weeks, plus months of rehab. Man, those Dolphins can't get any luck. They're truly destined to go 0-16.
