I'm so happy - There's been an EXPLOSION of them in recent years. Dunno what happened, but I'm happy.

I mean, look at it:

The Score
The Heist
The Italian Job
Ocean's 11
Confidence

That's 5 in 2 years.....before 2002, how many caper flicks can you think of?

I thought Spanish Prisoner was great

Norton was amazing as the bad guy when it came to the end of Primal Fear, an in the odd moments through it as well. He's a great actor, as Fight Club attests to.

Didn't the first heist take place in Venice? And I think all heists are called "jobs", or at least they are in movies :)

Was Spanish Prisoner a heist flick? I never saw it. If it is, I'm gonna have to add it to my list.

BTW, since we've had "The Score," "The Heist," and "The Italian Job," I'm just waiting for someone to make a movie called "The Caper."

NO WAY! ARE YOU SERIOUS?

That's seriously old news. However, they changed enough in Ocean's 11 (and changed everything in Italian Job) to allow them to stand on their own.

I liked it...funny (especially the Napster thing) and nice action. Good summer escapism.

A little bit of trivia: Ed Norton only did this movie because of contract obligation, not because he wanted to.

I didn't know it was a remake, so you can just STFU.

Even if you didn't browse to IMDB.com before the movie came out (like I did), you still should have read the SECOND POST IN THIS FREAKING THREAD.

I just saw a screening tonight (there was a sneak preview last Saturday) and I must say that is a very good movie, it reminds me of Ocean's 11 with all the surprises. Charlize Theron looks so good in that movie :D

She looks alot better now with her hair pulled back doesn't she?

Devil's Advocate anyone?

"You're not too bright are you?"
"No I'm not!"
"_P_erfect!"

That scene was great. In fact the whole movie was great. I really liked it. One of the best casts for a movie I've seen in a while (maybe since Ocean's 11).

they showed too much of the movie in the trailers so you basically saw all the interesting parts already. I would have enjoyed it a lot more had I not seen the trailers

I love that part of the movie, possibly one of the funniest scenes I've seen in a while.
I enjoyed the whole movie, I thought it was well done.

Agreed.

It wasn't as good as Ocean's 11 - not nearly as funny nor was the plot as interesting or suspenseful. It was even somewhat predictable. But still, a good, solid movie and, considering the options right now, it's worth the money. :)
