I was at 7-11 this morning and was talking to the guy that was putting these out. I gave him some computer advice and he gave me this.

Oh these... they were talking about these long ago to replace rentals... Basically u wont need to return the movie, cuz the disc becomes unplayable after certain amount of time...

I think the idea just went away though... definitely not wildly used... so they carry them at 7-11 now?

We need more plastic in landfills. Don't throw it away when you're done with it, mail back to the company that produces it. That way they can have it in their own local landfill.

I do that with junkmail. Anything that comes with a pre-paid envelope, I shred the stuff they sent, put it in their prepaid envelope and mail it back to them. That way they both pay for it and have it back in their own little fetid corner of the country. I also include any other trash and junkmail that's handy so hopefully they get charged a little more for having it mailed back to them. Sure I could just recycle it, but I like to give our mailman something to do. Hate for him to get bored, y'know?

It comes with an address to mail it back to for recycle, I will mail it in.

It's some type of chemical reaction. When the disc is open it starts to deteriorate until it's unusable.

$5.99 is too much.

Edit: It's supposed to work in all players. It's not a new format, just different material.
