anyone running whistler build 2264?

Okay TuffGuy,

then you obviously have heard of a build that is more recent than anything I have read about this week. If you have it, how about posting some screen shots? With the automatic "phone home on first boot" .exe that was included in build 2257, I sure hope that when you fire your copy up, you either work for MS or aren't connected to the internet.

Anyone know how to restore the "quick launch tool bar" ? (lower left, next to Start button.)

I need to get goin' on being a beta tester.

I originally could have been a Win2000 tester but I didn't feel like forking over the 70 bucks or whatever they wanted.

I found an address on their site, but I never mailed in anything before. If anyone can tell me an easier way I'd appreciate it.

? Yes rocmonster there is a 2264 build, but that is over a week old. Just cause you havn't read about it doesn't meen it doesn't exist.
? TuffGuy, All I'll say about 2264 is it whistler keeps getting better, definately the next OS I buy.
? I wonder what motivates people to leak builds to the public, I know I wouldn't risk my job for it.
? As far as restoring the quick launch toolbar, I would assume it is just like 98/2000, Right Click on your taskbar and choose toolbars>QuickLaunch.

I don't doubt there are higher builds than 2257 (MS is planning to release the first beta to testers next month which I am sure will be many newer builds beyond 2257). I just figured that TG must have a CLOSE relationship to the developers or else I would have read something floating around the usual "alternative" (read: warez) sources regarding a new leaked build. As for the screen shots, I am curious as to how MS is shaping up the look as well as the feel of Whistler.

I noticed a new black splash screen that replaces the Win2K Splash screen. I realy can't say much more than that for certain reasons.

Isn't the latest build (internal) 2600 or soon it will be? The latest external build is 2257 I am sure.
