Anyone Running Oblivion with a 9800Pro?

i ran it on my rig for a couple days before my new card arrived.
I played 800x600. low everything, shadows off, HDR off, actally almost all options off.
But it still looked OK and played very smoothly. you may be able to tweak to suit your tastes. I am very picky about stuttering, and low FPS, so...

BTW my specs:
AMD opteron146 @ 2.4GHz
2x1GB OCZ plat.

My system is similar to yours (2.55ghz P4, 1 gig DDR), although I'm running a 9600 XT instead of your (far) superior 9800 Pro. With the little tweak from the Elder Scrolls forums, bloom off (looks horrible, anyway), and a bunch of the detail settings turned down, I've managed to get it very smooth at 1024x768. The game still looks fantastic, too, so I'm convinced that everyone griping about the game performance just refuses to tweak their settings.

Yeah, i only played it for a day so I didn't do any tweaking. and now that i think of it... i played it a 1024x768 as well. And by OK visually i mean very nice... just that my refrence has been skewed now that i have a new GPU.

9800Pro here with an xp@2.2

The game runs fine at 1024 and looks pretty good too. I had to tone down some settings in the arena though for some battles... And some cities run slow. What's also strange is that framerate tanks when I look at the entry to into the arena (the one you enter to begin a battle), It's just a door, and I get around 4fps looking at it. wierd
