I'm thinking about and upgrade and was wondering how the palomino gets along with the 266a chipset.

Had one w/ a XP 1800+ (not overclocked) running 24/7 for two months. Very stable at 42 deg. C and 48 deg.C (Seti).

To say they run GREAT would be an understatement. The KR7A series was ' THE HOT O'CLOCK ' board, until Epox came out with their KT333 based board last June.
AnandTech thought it was pretty spiffy too, take a look: KR7A-133
Top rated board for the XP Palomino CPU in January 2002 ain't too shabby.

I've built one for my Son and another for my Daughter, they're stable as can be, and performance has been marvelous.

I'd even recommend it to Insane3D ( but he's hooked on Epox )
