I received Windows 2003 Server Enterprise from my school for free. So I'm wondering what usability I could loose from using it instead of XP. If none, then does it take more resources? If not then maybe I'll just run it since I can double as a server to.

thoughts. tell me what its like, thanks.

What do you plan on doing with in? I dont suggest running Server 03 as a desktop OS unless you do zero gaming and like having a slightly higher overhead.

I suggest running Server 03 if you have a need for more than 10 concurrent connections to a box or if you want to run a domain and the functions that brings to the table.

If you don't know what it does, then you don't need it.
If you want to LEARN about 2003 then install it on a secondary box and play with it.
