Anyone RMA a HD to Western Digital Lately?

One of my 1tb Blacks has taken a dump for the worst and I setup for an advanced replacement from WD. Has anyone done this in the past couple of weeks, I'm not sure on an eta because of the flooding over seas.

Thanks.

I advanced RMA's a 1TB FAEX Black drive on 10/15 and they 2nd day UPSed me a new 2 TB FAEX drive by 10/18 (note 10/15 was a Sat) My drive was only 5 months old so it was a bummer, but on the upside they had excellent service and replaced it with a better product in a timely manner but I don't think the flooding had badly effected their warrenty service operations by that point & I suspect the flooding will not effect their RMA department as much as they want to keep their customers happy.

P. S. I've always had excellent support from WD's RMA service when I've had to use it and all I buy are WD or HGST drives (HGST are for raid / bulk storage)

I, too, have had good experiences with WDC on RMA drives. In fact, I am being rather lazy as I have a couple of drives (including one Black) that needs to be returned for replacement. As for availability, I would think WDC would keep a helthy inventory for RMA's locally.

There not the best but not bad, I have sent back about 50 drives. For the most part there were some what fast about it.

Thanks everyone. I've rma'd dozens of drives in my lifetime but never during such a chaotic time in wd production history. Wd by far has been one of the most easy going and quick company's I have dealt with.

WD has always been very quick with their RMA. I haven't had to return anything in a month or so... but suspect they have their act together regardless of the flooding. WD is a very, very well run organization.

Update: no delay in Wd rma claims, they shipped me the 1.5tb drive to replace my 1tb drive via ups 2 day.
Very great service from we once again.
