They were saying that Virginia and the Chesapeake<sp?> Bay are going to be hit the worst. They being MSNBC.

Three to four fee above high tide already. Batten down and be prepared to float.

I heard on the radio this morning that government officials were telling people who weren't leaving their homes to write their names on their forearms with permanent black marker so that their bodies could be identified.

Well, it is not going to be a Hurricane Andrew but I'll be hell'a worried if I'm near anything that could be flooded. The size of the storm is huge, and a hurricane is still a hurricane. try to stand in the middle of the road with 100+ MPH sustained winds. Not going to happen.

update!

im at work this morning. my power went out around 11:30 am, went to parents out of general boredom. the downstairs of their house flooded from rainwater, the drain in the patio got backed up and the game room had ~2 inches of water in it. flood damage in the rest of town looks almost non existant, a nearby smaller towm thats slightly lower had heavy flooding. had power back at my parents (they lost it around 1 pm) by 9:30pm, the whole town has it back this morning (drove around before i came to work)

little flood damage in town, lots of trees down. a oak that was about 2.5ft thick landed 10ft from my dads back door, another one blocked off his driveway, another one his garage.

i lost a couple branches at home, no damage to anything, i shall frag tonight!

Well, if thewy really were riding out isabel's eye, and not just an arm, then they probably wouldnt have power to tell us about it now would they?
