Some guy (name like Lars or something similar) had been ripped off by a guy on Ebay. He had sent him a monitor and the guy refused to return it, he also claimed he was a lawyer but was in fact living in a trailer park. Some other guy (PCresources?) was a real lawyer and offered to help Lars(?) out by acting as his lawyer for free.

It was about 3-4mnths ago and the thread was huge. Just wondering if anyone remembers and if so if there's any update.

Spanky, you must have missed the "Anandtech Theatre Presents" episode where an imported special forces operator managed to get killed in Afghanistan, and lose his entire family in the WTC tragedy. It actually was funny.

AS Kyguy pointed out, it was another guys 2nd account, and he lied about everything, was caught in several lies, and was ultimately banned from the forum.

PCResources faked his own death at the approximate time he was going to have to make good on his promise to supply LukFilm with a new monitor. He logged in using a fake account, NicklasReugen, which he used to support his own BS on the Forums when people did not believe him. He stacked his lies a bit too high, and they came crashing down.

Click the "I See Dead People" Link in my Signature, that was taken after he was dead, when he was checking to see how we were reacting. :p

wow. soo weird. i was just gonna post something about patrick palm too then i come accross this thread.

hehehe, what a duffus, the special forces, owns his own million dollar integration company, tests 100's of cpu's a day, etc etc etc.

wow, this guy was really full of lies.

btw, i'm curious about hawkeye also.
