When I used to rent or buy a game I noticed that the graphics on the front of the cartridge or box looked totally kick-ass. When I got it home, and starting playing it, everything was all blocky. Ahh, the good old days...

Oh man, that picture brings back memories. Asteroids and Baseball, Galaga, Joust! Zelda, Spy v Spy, Link, Super Mario Bros 3, 2, 1. I can hear the fire flower power up sound now, and the ptooey sound when you would spit out a fireball! Ninja Gaiden, that was a great game, such a challenge for me.

Now the graphics on the box look worse than the graphics in the game. I'm serious. There were some games I almost didn't buy because the box almost scared me away.

I've been oldschooling it with good old Raptor: Call of the Shadows lately. Good times.

BEST GAME EVER!!!

I am obviously not oldschool enough. WTF is that?

Street Fighter 2 for SNES. I think that was the code that allowed you to pick an alternate color outfit.

Almost, it let 2 players select the same person at the same time.

Ok, another old school code: "Justin Bailey".

Extra points if you get the reference - who JB is.
