I purchased a 1989 model in 1990 for $1100, very low miles, less than 10,000. Drove it through my first year in the Army, even made a trip from Idaho to Louisiana and back before selling it for $1600 towards and Isuzu truck. However the gas tank only held 6 gallons, so that was a pain @25mpg. Overall I liked the car, they were super easy to work on and peppy for the engine size. Very comparable to a VW Rabbit a friend from high school had.
