Anyone remember SimTower?

I found my old copy and fired it up, man, I used to spend hours and hours on this thing..

There was never a SimTower 2, correct?

Crap, I actually am considering writing it myself :Q...

I never got into the Sim-type games. I tried several, but never got into them. That one however was easily the most fun to me personally. I still have it actually, but it doesn't work on any NT-based systems. There was supposedly a workaround for it at one time, but I couldn't get it to work.

Sim Tower was an awesome game. Man I played the hell out of that.

After that the craptastic sim games came out.

AHHH who could forget THe street of SIm CIty

Don't forget simCopter and that gay bug, an employee put in...

I wonder if I could find my original simcity disks around, man that was a long time ago...

I've still got SimTower around somewhere, that one was fun...

Here's the Wired article on the bug in SimCopter...

I liked Sim Tower for an hour or two. Then I ran into gameplay issues. I had trouble building the towers larger than a certain size. Maybe I was just playing it wrong.

Yeah I could never get over four stars...then people fled in droves from my condos and I lost a ton of money. I guess I never had the right strategy or something.

The condo's were only a one-time payday, you had to go for the offices once you got enough money so you'd actually have a stable income. Once those were succesful, the hotel rooms, then hotel suites were next.

I just remembered not being able to build enough elevators. I had the 100 story high buildings, with the maximim width, and hundreds or thousands of parking spaces. All the people turned red and got mad around 5pm rush hour and there was no way around it.

SimFarm was a blast as well. Loved flying the crop duster, managing equipment, building roads, irragation set-up's, ect.

SimAnt was fun for awhile, but ultimately way to easy to win once you gained a few patches of the yard. You could just let the red ants drive out the humans, and then let the computer black ants take over the yard. Some classic battles though, and it was neat to see an ant go "beserk" for not feeding it.

Apparently i'm wrong about there not being a sequel...

Yoot Tower?

I can't find anywhere to download it online (its abandonware to the nth also).. checked the usual, kazaa, googled like hell...

can't even find anywhere to BUY the damn thing... lol.
