:DSCHWEET!!! well that's very cool. a low noise(or lower pitch at least ;)) on the wbk. how does it cool for you plantium gold??

on a side note, how does the gladiator with the screamer, or $20 "golden gate":D, scale up against a thermoengine with a delta??

i don't have the thermoengine so i can't speak from experience.

but truth is, the thermoengine does give lower temps than actual because of it's design, not to say this isn't a good hs, it's pretty good, but not superior to the WBK, it's equivalent in my opinion.

the Gladiator or the Golden gate w/ the 38 CFM delta is a step above the WBK and thermoengine in my opinion.

if you have the money, i'd recommend buying both the WBK and the Golden gate, (costs you less than the SK6 or the Glaciator) and run some of your own tests.

seems overwhelmingly in favor of the gladiator, in the number of votes that it has recieved, although everyone who has had the glaciator has said they are very content with it's preformance! can you guys post me your temps? thanks!

Temps aren't going to do you a lot of good.

Different motherboards have different methods for reading the onboard thermistor. In addition, the only accurate way of measuring temps would be via either an on-diode thermistor (which is on Athlon 4 and not many here have one or an MP for that matter) or via a probe, which people also don't have.

How much louder is the delta fan compared to the stock fan on the Gladiator? And does it perform much better? I am debating as to what fan I should use because of noise issues, I have to sleep with the thing on in a dorm room.

Also... How can you be sure that this SVC Golden Gate is the same as the Gladiator?

it works much better... and it is MUCH louder. someone posted a thread with a link to .wav files of the different fans, maybe hunt for that.

Dude get a Glaciator it keep my cpu cool even when I run it at 1617mhz and 2.14volts and it is quiet compared to the gladiator with a delta fan.
