Found it in some of my OEM disk that came with something along time ago. . . never installed it. I installed it tonight - and I am just full of fail. I really don't understand it and don't have the patience for the tutorial. . . I keep trying to work it like Starcraft - but that it isn't. . .

Yes, starcraft is one of the games I'm more up to date on :) I stay behind the game curb at least 7 years so I can afford it :p

Thanks - I'm not a gamer - so didn't know about it :p

LOL, the only games I ever really play is Age of Empires, Starcraft, and now Civ III it seems.

I am however, looking forward to SPORE. ..

If you don't have the patience for the tutorial you may not have the patience for the game. Then again, III did move quite a bit faster than IV does, so you could be ok.

I haven't been able to connect to civfanatics for months. From what I can tell, the site is still alive, but there's a Comcast routing issue. Anyone else having the same?

I should play it again. I haven't played it in years. I liked Rise of Nations because it wasn't turn-based.

Rise of Nations Drives me nuts. I'll play until the Information age then the computer gets instant respawn ultimate shields etc - and then it is like basically unbeatable. I bought it along time ago, and ended up selling it. Like age of empires better if I'm in the mood for an RTS
