I'm saving up right now for one. I'd also like to know what over people think of theirs...

I'm going to be waiting until later this summer, around July, to purchase a new laptop. But it will definitely be a Centrino, I can tell you that. Hitting 8 hours with dual battery is damn nice. :)

The one that is like $3499 (2373G1U) ? Find a friend who is an ibm employee the employee price is $2974. I'd help you out but my dad has already bought the max of 4/yr for employee purchases.

Got mine yesterday. It's pretty nice. Runs cool, fast, and I like the wireless access. It's a Dell 600M, 1.3GHz, 512MB RAM, WinXP Pro.

Thanks for the offer Richie, but I got the 237392U and my employer is paying for it, and we get an auto 15% or so discounted rates anyways......
I bumped up the RAM to 1Gig!! has integrated 1000 Mbps copper gig NIC, Radeon 9000, 1400x1050 res, 80gig Hdd (I think these are the slower 4200rpm ones),9-cell Li battery (one of the reviews said this will last for 6.5hrs) and has the IBM a/b wi-fi and Bluetooth combo!!!

God does exists!!!

Man, that's nice. What's the weight on that sucker?

<-- Just bought an R32 (1.6ghz, non Centrino) and loves it. IBM rocks.

Build quality is excellent. I said cool above, let me rephrase. Cool as LL. Only part that even gets remotely warm is the panel that covers the RAM. Very nice. Speakers are very good quality. Screen is pretty bright, even when running on battery. I got the XGA screen, BTW. Didn't think I would like a 1280x1024 res on a 14" screen. That's what i got my 18" FPD on my desktop for :D Bluetooth? Wow, I got the Intel card, and so far, I'm streaming DMB from my desktop, and it seems to skip every now and then. Might have to call and get the card replaced. That's my only complaint. Skips every now and then when playing mp3s over the network. I would love to have bluetooth, tho. Heh, you know, I just noticed that this laptop has a CPU fan? It has never turned on! As soon as I got it, I formatted it and loaded XP Pro, and the CPU fan never came on! I am very impressed, even with the weird wireless NIC.

I have IBM Thinkpad T30 2366-91U, and although it is not Centrino, I truly love IBM's laptops. Light, durable and fast! So no doubt my next laptop will be T40 :)

Ha, sux to your I600m's, I decided to get the credit-line cranking and ordered the T800 on Thursday :D

Pentium-M 1.4GHz
512MB RAM (2x 256)
40GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
NVidia GeForce Go 4200 64MB DDR
15.4" Wide Aspect WXGA Screen - WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!
Intel Wireless 802.11 Networking

I seriously can't wait for this machine, its really gonna help out with my computer animation workload. My only regret is that I didnt get the 1.6GHz because they only offer that speed with the 15.4" UXGA screen and between the two, that was a $600 canadian upgrade :(

I'll let you guys know bout it when it gets here, supposed to be on rush delivery (10 day) so me hopes soon ;)
