I got mine a month ago and they expire May 28. There doesn't seem to be much of a selection of boxes that I have seen so far though.

I tried to cash in on it, but the local Radio Shack, which is listed as one of the stores that I should go to, didn't know what the cards were for, and didn't have any boxes in stock...

I am sure I won't be able to use the card at all. Is there a place online that I can redeem them?

Then they're goddamn idiots. All they're supposed to do is scan the box, scan the card, and you pay the difference.

I got a RCA box from walmart and a Insignia from Best Buy - both have excellent reception ( I live about 70 miles from where most of the stations are broadcast ). The Insignia though seems to have better menus and you can enter in the station you want to tune - in case the autoscan doesn't get what you want.

Not that I am aware of, but they have a toll-free number that might help amdhunter:

I got the Zenith/LG at Circuit City...it got better reviews then the ones at BB and Walmart. Excellent picture!

Actually, you can phone order the Best Buy Insignia box. I might stop there tomorrow and pick one up. There are quite a few Best Buys around that I can go to.

I have an extra TV in my home with no cable box, so this thing would be perfect for that room.

Do these boxes have issues getting a signal in an enclosed area? (No windows, back of building)

You won`t need one, if you pay for TV, or are provided cable/sat signals, there is no need for a box no matter what TV you own.
