I started reading it, finished the first couple chapters - now it's collecting dust on my desk. I got sidetracked because I started reading Freakonomics.

It's a decent book, some interesting oursourcing stories, but it didn't keep me too enthralled. I need to probably pick it up again....

I read that the world is flat, but I saw a globe once and it was round. So I don't believe it.

Yea I read most of it for an economics course.

I'm not at all interested in economics or globalization, but its a good book and written very well.

Yeah, reading is my nerdy secret passion, although, I've been getting away from it because of TV shows like Lost and 24. Nothing like watching tv and letting your brain ooze away!

Is there an ATOT book club - where someone can propose a book for reading and discussion? I know it's probably been done before, but I haven't seen anything lately. The list of the last few non-fiction books I've read:

The Code Book
Guns, Germs, and Steel
More than Human
Freakonomics

Now it's either - The World is Flat OR The Fabric of the Cosmos

fyi: friedman is almost universally derided in the international relations community as being a fvcking idiot. so don't take too much of what he says as gospel.

That's an excellent idea! The ATOT Book club! I love it!

(However, my plate of obligations is full and I'm completely unable to organize such an endeavor. I'd love to participate tho.)
