Anyone read the Illuminatus! Trilogy?

I'm a little over 1/3 of the way through this 700+ page clusterfsck of a book. Don't know if I have the willpower to keep reading it. Does it ever sort of tie things together or is the entire book as disjointed and schizophrenic as the first 200 pages?

The completely out of the blue jumping around in time and characters (sometimes within the same sentence) makes it very hard to read easily

I tried reading it back in eighth grade or so. Couldn't finish it, and there are few books that I loathe so much that I cannot finish them at least once.

i've read it about 7 or 8 times now. yes, it does flow more later. keep reading it, finish it, read his other books, become a discordian, enjoy life more.

Good book and yes it's some crazy sh1t at the beginning but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

mostly just hallucinogens and pot i think. raw never claimed to do any of the harder stuff.

I tried twice ... got about halfway through it the second time, then decided that, no, I'm not an idiot because I don't "get it". The book is crap and there isn't any "it" to "get".
