Anyone read Cyrano?

I need to think of an alternate ending to the story using "pop culture" icons.

I just need a plot to get going. Roxanne and Cyrano have to be a couple or something though. My teacher wasn't too specific. I don't want the story to have a good ending though, something a-la Reservoir Dogs where everyone dies and Roxanne and Cyrano are screwed up people.
