anyone put up a bird house?

i have the bird house.. but looking for tips on other needed materials.

my bro used to have a ~15' pipe where his purple martin birdhouse was mounted... but he had some sort of pivot that allowed you to tilt the pipe down so you could clean out the birdhouse...

so there were actually 2 pipes - 1 concreted in the ground to some sort of pivot point, then another 12' pipe mounted to that point.

anyone do anything similar?

We have a couple bird feeders mounted on stainless steel pipes. Into the ground, there's another section secured, and a stainless steel union so we can disconnect/reconnect the top half.

My bird house was awesome. It was made too look like the grim reaper, except it had three pig skulls in place of the traditional hood. The little sparrows would come by the dozens and eat out of the pigs eye sockets. I eventually had to take it down because the neighbors started complaining.
