Anyone preordering the Zune HD or picking it up on or around release day?

I may get the new Zune (I broke my Zune 30 a few months ago 🙁 ) in September in person if I can scrounge up the cash for it, or maybe I'll preorder if I get some cash before then. Looks good and the specs are great (aside from storage capacity).

Anyone else getting one?

If I can sell my Zune 120 over in the FS section (shameless plug i know 😀) I'll definitely pick up one immediately. Otherwise i'll probably wait a little while.

Either way its pretty much what i wanted when i picked up the 120gb and will probably hold me over till holograms become avaliable.

How's the battery life on it? I'm getting either a Pre or iPhone in 2 weeks, and while I'd like to use my phone as an mp3 player, I'd be afraid my usage (4-7 hours a day for just music) would drain it too quickly.

battery life sux..but i have it constantly plugged in at work and in my car..
i do pandora ->aux in the car and it's great!

Pre cus you can actually do more than one thing at a time plus the plans are much cheaper and 3G is more widespread and more reliable.

Agh that's one thing I really dislike about my Centro..only one program at a time.. 🙁

yeah not being able to multitask was a bitch at first, but jailbreaking it allows me to run backgrounder which solves that prob

I would buy a Zune HD in a second..if my car radio supported it. Unfortunately, it has support for iPod. Sigh.

Would love to have one, but I can't justify it. My launch-day Zune 30GB is still working great besides a piss-poor battery that drains in about 5 minutes, but I keep it plugged in wherever I want to use it, so no big deal.
