Anyone playing the Silent Hill III Demo??

if it was anything like the ps2 version, i thought it blows. camera angles and control has always been a problem with that game.

Silent Hill 2 is up there with my all time favorite games..

I am currently playing through Silent Hill 1 since that is the true prequel to Silent Hill 3 (SH2 was just a side story). Even though it is an old PS1 game it is amazingly scary and really really good.

I can't wait for this game... I really need to finish the first one now.

No idea. I kept falling off ledges and eventually gave up. I'll go back to SH1 for a few more weeks until I get the full version of this, but, if you are a Silent Hill fan this is a must download demo.

Can you even do anything? I keep just walking around and then some bizarre looking chopped in half dog attacks me.

I was up on the rollercoaster tracks and fell off.

Same here, train came at me and well I guess she fell off (i didn't see what happens) But it was pretty intense. LordJezo how does the story go? Seems the game is scarier than the R/E my cousin has for GC.

You need to play the first one and maybe the second one to really understand any of it all.

It has to do with a town, Silent Hill, that is somewhat possesed by hell itself and manifests itself into the fears of the person involved in it.

Or soemthing. It is much more deep then that but I never really figured it all out.. its so complex!

From the first and second games it is scarier then RE in the way that it is more depressing. RE was more of a jump out at you kind of scary but SH is a more moodfull game filled with depression and sorrow. The second one really got me down in the dumps and the first one, which I am playing now, isn't doing much better.

These are some of the best games I have ever played. If you play them late at night in the dark with no distractions they will really get under your skin.

The demo is lame. I don't really know why they bothered with it. When you get hit by the coaster you normally go to the next level, at least in the PS2 version. I guess they just wanted to let people walk around for 2 or 3 mins.

NOT worth the 450 meg download.

I played the first game on the PlayStation, was the scariest game i've ever played! Never got round to completing it though...i can never finish games...well, apart from Sonic The Hedgehog, the only game i've ever completed!

Tried out the 2nd one but didn't really like it...was just walking down that path for AGES and got bored. Probably not going to download this demo, though, if there's hardly anything to do. May check it out when it's finally released.

The only thing I liked was the opening song ,,, and the disclaimer ...

"Scenes maybe considered cruel or ...."

I didnt like it ... I couldnt free look where I wanted ... could not see ahead when walking foward...

and just plain bad graphics IMO...

Uninstalled it within 2 hours...
