<< Why do people use that ling rush? It's only effective against total newbs. Somebody with an ounce of experience will at least have one unit when you arrive (like a zealot or a marine), and plus he can use his peons to attack as well. Trust me, I don't worry about the 7 pool rush anymore, because every time somebody has done it to me, I've killed them all with my probes/SCVs. >>
It's not meant to be take someone out.. it's to slow them down while you build up. But it just happens the guy was busy typing instead of defending himself. The ling rush was never meant to be take someone out totally, it's just to slow someone down by bugging the heck of out of them.. you keep going for their peons distracting him from collecting since he has to fight back with those peons. All the while your peons are collecting minerals. Trust me, I pull my lings out if the person shows an ounce of knowing how to defend with his peons and one unit. I don't lose much economy wise.
<< handle it i can, tolerate it i cant >>
like i said, you shouldn't play if you can't "handle" it. it's a strategy and part of the game, you should respect that. now, hacking.. that can't be tolerated cuz it's plain and simple cheating and not part of the game. but rushing is NOT cheating, it's a strategy. if rushing weren't meant to be part of the game, they should just disallow you attacking within the first 2 minutes or something like that?
