I just read an interesting article over on TechRepublic on using firestarter in linux to make a firewall. I had given up on linux for everything b/c the learning curve to get where I am with windows is too steep and too high but this looks easy. Best of all, its free.
I am thinking about putting a test firewall in at work using two nics w/firestarter's ip masquerading as a type of NAT. How big (or small) powerwise of a machine would I need to put together? Just a cable connection at work.
Link:Set up a linux......... I think you have to be registered to view it.
