I haven't heard anything at all about this game since learning about it a few months ago in the Outrun thread. Anyone played it? How well did the conversion work? Any control issues??

I have it for the PS3. All is good. You can play it in 16:9. It loses a little, but not enought to make a difference.

I gotta disagree - playing it stretched across 16:9 was horrible.

ill 2nd that...horrible ick... and yes online play would have made this game gold........
 
I have the PS3 version. There's not a heck of a lot of difference between it and the one that was released for the PSP/PS2 a couple years ago. As far as I can tell, all the games our emulated perfectly. Classic Sonic FTW! I wish they had some other genesis hits though like Earthworm Jim and Sonic CD. Why no love for Sonic's greatest title in these compilations?
 
Its good but some games have audio that isn't quite accurate but unless you are a super hardcore fan you may not notice. I question some game choices (Fatal Labyrinth, Sonic Spinball, Gain Ground..etc..some garbage) and Space Harrier is unplayable because the character auto centers but for the price its worth it.
 
I've played Shining in the Darkness over a couple times since I originally had it on the Genesis. Fun RPG, but a bit dated.
 
Awww man, no Sword of Vermillion? That was my all time fav Genesis game.... guess it wouldn't fit.

Some goodies on there though. I luv Dr. Robotnik's MBM.
 
Yeah, I'm thinking of picking this up - Sonic, Ecco, the PS games, Shining Force, Streets of Rage, etc... good stuff.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have Sonic 3 & Knuckles, in other words the lock-on games. Sonic & Knuckles is an expansion pack for Sonic 3. I don't know why they keep insisting on treating them as two separate games without throwing in the combo.
