Anyone play with Vex robotics?

Is it worth it?? My nephews been staying with us. He's really getting into computers. He also enjoying making things with his hands, like origami. I'm thinking it would be a great thing he and I could do together... Kind of pricey though. $300 for the starter kit.

Wow... I expected a little more response or at least a little interest from Anandtech.

When I started describing it to the nephew, I got about 1 1/2 sentences into it when he says "Oh is it like Vex?"... I figured the people here would know about it.
