I've been a Tekken fan for years but held off on Tekken 6 because of all of the problems it was having when released. Well, I heard they patched most of the issues (mostly network latency issues) and bought it and am enjoying it, I've got a Hori Real Arcade Pro EX-SE on the way. Wondering if anyone else on here plays since I'm still extremely rusty (haven't played much since the early days of Tekken Tag).

I have it but haven't really played it except with my daughter for a few minutes. I have it for 360. I'd be willing to try sometime. I've never played any tekken though so lol..

I have it, it's quite good. The latency issues were atrocious when it was first released, but all is well again.

I started the series with Tekken 3 for Playstation, then played Tekken Tag extensively in the arcades (didn't like it on PS2 though, it felt "off" to me) and pretty much ignored Tekken 4 (it sucked) but really enjoyed Tekken 5 though the lack of online play meant I had no one to play with.

Enter Tekken 6. It's great, I'm really into it but have been playing too much Modern Warfare 2 lately to stay sharp. I'd say it's the best entry in the Tekken series by far, they've reworked so many of the old animations and added awesome new stuff. Tons of new characters too. My only gripe is some of the "bounce" juggles, they seemingly last forever but that's not news to anyone familiar with the series in general. I haven't learned the game well enough to know how difficult those endless juggles are to pull off so maybe it's balanced by degree of difficulty.

Anyway, yeah... the game is seriously good. Kind of annoying how expensive they made the custom clothing items though...

You play on the 360? I'm always looking against people to play.

I have it for the 360. It's pretty good. I live in Hawaii and have a heck of a time finding online play. Maybe can find 2-4 matches in half an hour, kind of puts a damper on the online part. Plus I'm not very good at it. I tend to play a lot of characters so I never really learn any one. And the D-Pad on the 360 controller SUCKS big time. I wish I had the game for the PS3 but I'm not going to buy it twice. About the only way to get money or items to customize your character is to play the scenario campaign- which I actually enjoyed. And one more sucky thing is that you can't level up your characters in the off line mode past 1st dan.

I've got a Hori arcade stick in the mail (yay for ebay $.01 margin of victory!), I just sold my XFPS (which I used so I could play with a PS2 controller) so I probably won't be on until the stick arrives. Honestly having used both the PS2 controller and the 360 controller I did about as good with both of them (and I played a TON of Tekken 3/Tag on PS1/PS2 controllers so I was surprised how similar they were).

Blackflag is already on my friends list (I believe), if you other two want to join in we can play sometime. I'm going to be terrible with the stick for a while and I was never phenominal at the game as it is (although not half bad). I also still need to beat the Nightmare level on the story...I can do that with a 360 controller if I could find a partner. I die REALLY fast on it though (too many BG's).

So, I got my Hori stick in...man this thing is tough to use. Quarter-circle motions (like Ryu's fireball) are actually really hard to do with it...I think it's the square gate that came on it. Maybe I need to get an octagonal gate...

Saw Blackflag on last night but he was installing Mass Effect 2...maybe next time.

I think it is better to use a square gate but it will take a little time to get used to it. Try not to ride the gate, you shouldn't need to push it anywhere close to the edge for it to register?

are there QCF moves in Tekken? I didn't even know.

Paul's Phoenix Smasher as well as his reverse stutter step, Heihachi has the same move (less powerful), I know that Leo has a few of 'em.

I have it and played it a few times. I like playing with the new girl Lili. She's sort of like a more powerful Xiaoyu. I'm not good at this game at all. I'll add you to my friends list, and maybe we'll practice sometime.
