Ordered one this morning. Ordered the new 10GB. Hey, new design, remote, carrying case, 1 yr warranty, Windows Support all for $400, sounds good to me. I got the education discount from the Apple store so it was $397 total (after tax and shipping).

Apple nailed it with these new models. Can't wait to get it.

Yeah I'll probably get one.

I was just about decided on the Nomad 3 with 20 gigs, but I'd prefer the iPod over it. I'll probably get the 10 gig version, but may end up splurging on the 20 gig.

I actually have the one that's made of aluminum. It comes with a slightly padded form fitting case and it's quite rugged. I've traveled all over the world with it in my backpack. I have 1030 mp3 tracks on it and a bunch of PC files and it only 47% full. The thing is just great. Rechargable lithium battery is EXCELLENT as well.

The 5gb has the 1 year warranty now, but it doesn't come with the remote, or carrying case. It's the old design. Still uses the mechanical scroll wheel I think. I'd imagine it will probably be discontinued before the end of the year.
