That's obviously a mistake or the phone would only be good for less than a year... Google would never release a phone like that or they would never sell another device again.Seen something in google feed about the P10 batteries are designed for only 200 cycles. It may have been XDA Developers. Was early morning and running late.
I agree, I will see if I can find the article. I thought it was insane when I read it. Because my trusty Moto Edge+ is starting to wear out. circa 2021 IIRC.That's obviously a mistake or the phone would only be good for less than a year... I agree that it would be a sideways trade. The AI integration that google has done is pretty cool, though. I get 2 full days on a full charge. The battery is not an issue. Comparing a P6 to the 10 is not really a valid comparison...Don't think it's worth switching from my s25 ultra and giving up the battery life I'm currently getting. I used to own all the pixel phones and swapped over to Samsung after the 6 pro.
The camera is the only reason I would want to go back again but not at the cost of battery and just have an odd feeling of the value I'm getting paying almost as much as I paid for the s25 ultra for mid range specs. If the 10 pro XL was priced at $899 I'd be more inclined.
I'm comparing the 10 pro XL to my s25 ultra seeing how it's priced similarly, at least the 512gb version since that's what I have now.I agree that it would be a sideways trade. Make it £300 UKP and I'll consider it.My P6 is still chugging along fine and especially with the updates has some of the newer features like the photo editing. I love the call screening and transcribing. I'm wondering if I would notice a OMG difference between it and a 10.
My point is that you can't compare previous pixels with the 10. It is a whole new phone- battery, chip, screen, modem, etc. I get 2 full days of light-med usage on this 10 pro. I think the much better modem and wi-fi make a huge difference compared to my 6. Pixel's AI integration is really good too. The call screening and transcription alone is worth it to me.I'm comparing the 10 pro XL to my s25 ultra seeing how it's priced similarly, at least the 512gb version since that's what I have now.
On the Samsung I get about 5hrs screen on time, mostly mix of 5g and wifi. 22hrs screen off/idle and the phone is at 55% at this point. This is with everything on, Bluetooth, wifi, nfc, always on display. I could never achieve this with any of the Pixels I owned.
So it does suck I had to give up the ease of taking in motion pics for this but I'll probably go back to pixel when my wife and I have a kid as I won't be wanting to deal with any irregularities you get with Samsung when not taking still pics.
All I want is big screen, good battery and camera. This should be Google but hoping they get it perfect one day.
I was happy with my P6 with all the recent updates but it was doing some strange stuff like not waking up when I tapped the screen and the speakers were not working very well. I got 100 discount, 250 trade-in, 200 google store credit and 1 yr of Gemini for free. Next year the P6 will probably be worth 100 if anything so I pulled the trigger. It's a nice phone but not life-changing, lol.Make it £300 UKP and I'll consider it.
