Anyone pick up Metroid Prime 2 yesterday?

I saw it at EBGames when I bought HL2 but I cannot have all the games at once. WoW comes out soon and I need to buy that one too....argh!
 
Picked up MP2 along with Half-Life, so at least I have something to play when Steam becomes(became) Drip.
 
You silly fools making Half Life comments don't even know what you're missing. Metroid Prime was one of the GREATEST console games of all time. I flat out refuse to play FPS games on consoles, and it is STILL one of my favorite games, ever, for any system.

But its on Gamecube!! I thought all they made were Pokemon games, and need to get out of the hardware business cuz they're failing?
 
Picked it up last night, but I've only been able to play for about an hour so far... 🙁

Seems pretty good though!

it was a joke... I bought gc about 6 months ago to play 2 games. Zelda and MP.

Pre-ordered from GameStop and picked it up yesterday. Only got to play for about an hour but what I've seen so far rocks. Hopefully I'll be able to get some good time in on it this weekend.

I completely agree. I avoid console FPS at all costs, but IMO Metroid Prime is the best game of it's genre on any of the current consoles. Since I no longer have a roommate with a GC, I'm seriously considering picking one up just for MP2.
 
i am a huge gamecube hater now (i have owned 2 of them along with many games, so im not just hating for the sake of hating), but i will admit that metroid prime is one of the best, if not THE best game, i have ever played single player on a console. it was just so well done and i could not put it down once i started it.

i don't have a GC anymore as I sold it already, but once i get over halo 2, maybe in a few months/years/decades 😛, we'll see if i pick up another GC w/mp2. i really want to give that game a try, but just right now i do not have any desire to play it as i am very taken with halo 2 right now.
 
I'm picking up my copy tonight with the $250 atta-boy I just got delivered to me today. I was wondering why my paycheck was larger last week, now I know why!
