Well..played a bit so far. Environments/graphics/story remind me of Doom 3 and LINEAR game play is a combination of House of the Dead [walk a bit, kill a lot of monsters, walk some more, kill a lot of monsters, walk some more, enter an area to fight a mini-boss] combined with Dragon's Lair [arrows appearing on the screen during certain moments]. The demo pretty much showcases what you will encounter in the full game - lots of monsters to kill, changing bodies depending upon if you need their powers or not, having to heal members if they die, etc. There are 3 more characters with different types of powers which can help diversify the game play a little [one can slow down time, another can freeze monsters in their tracks, etc.]...but that's about it [so far].

I'm enjoying this game simply for the atmosphere [turn the lights out!] and mindless killing. :)

From what I've read - this game is short. Some have completed it in as little as 3 hours while the average seems to be about 6-8 hours. :(

Walk, enter area, wait for monster spawn, kill all monsters, door then opens, walk to next area, spawn, kill all, door opens, repeat. Is that about right?

The character models look really good though.

I should get my pre-ordered copy today, it has been despatched.

I have high hopes for this game after the disappointing and very overated Bioshock.

Jericho review@mygen.

8.4/10 rating.

Jericho has been one of the most surprising games of this year for me; its focus on team play and its brilliant storyline are only some of the great things about it. Being able to hold an audience is what a game developer must do and the team behind it has certainly accomplished this for me. One of the biggest upsides to this game is the atmosphere on each level, topped off with one of the best soundtracks in a Horror game.

Unfortunately - yes. And that does get very tiring after about the 999th time.

And the AI isn't too great at getting out of the way of danger or helping to properly kill the enemies - you'll spend a lot of time reviving your team.

Yeah I'm really disappointed by the repetitive gameplay. How can the devs think that the same old 'spawn monsters in over and over till you kill a certain number and can move on' paradigm is still viable? EP2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jericho as far as replayability and just general smoothness goes.

I was looking forward to this game. Good thing I didn't buy it.

How's the voice-acting/script? You'd expect a lot from Clive Barker, but from what I saw of it, it looks like typical cheesy videogame stuff.

Damn. I had hopes for this game.

If money sucking and bias game review sites think the game is bad, just imagine what a honest customer will think of it.

The demo that I played (on a PS3) gave some background information and the Jericho team seems to have a rather silly background. But, the demo was fun to play.

I have played a little on PC version ,so far seems ok however I hated the very early start of game(you know what I'm talking about without giving a spoiler) anyway stability is rock solid for me unlike The Witcher which goes in my book of fame for being the most unstable game I have ever played.

It's not going to win any awards for best game etc.. but if you like FPS with a squad and gore then it might be up your ally.
