How is it? Any good? Can the Mobile Outlook be set up to fetch POP mail wirelessly, and have the option to leave mail on the server? Secure POP would be an added bonus....
 
I've heard some pretty bad things about this phone. Check over at howardforums.com. Seems many are even being recalled for shoddy earpieces.

Ya, ive been following it for awhile now. The first release from the Best Buy exclusive was pure crap. They have recently sent out an updated firmware verison on new shipments of the phone which were supposed to address the low volume issue. That new firmware is .343. The newest word is that Cingular is holding on to the .343 mpx220s until further notice from corporate. Apparently, the .343 firmware is still not upto Cingular's "standards" and does not address the volume issue fully. The latest rumor is that Moto will have a decent MPX220 out before X-Mas....but we will have to see.

Any updates on this. I was also looking into it. Some poeple have given it good reviews since they got the new firmware, but was wondering if any ATOTers had experience with the newer batch.
 
I bought it. Had the firmware 0.342, which sucked.. the earpiece is too quiet. I phoned in, acted like a newbie user and said I couldn't hear crap. They sent me the new 1.3 firmware phone, and it works great. I love this phone.
