Anyone own SVS Subwoofers?

I had a 16-46PC for 45 days and returned it for credit. I sure do miss it. It had the cleanest bass I have ever heard from a home theater, not to mention you could fell it down your spine. I just placed the order for Dual 20-39CS Pluses w/ Samson 1000 that should ship the end of the month.

What do you think of your SVS?

From what I have read and heard, they certainly offer a huge amount of value. If I hadn't bought my Paradigm Servo 15, I would have likely ended up with one of those.

My only complaint with SVS is the size! Those things look friggin' huge from the pictures (not that the Servo-15 is small), and would be an eyesore in a smaller room, no?

I'm getting one once I'm out of college (I live in dorms). I was planning on buying a SVS 20-39PC (I even had the money ready) but decided against it since i'd never be able to use it...and settle for a Paradigm PDR-10 for now. only 2 more years 🙂

Talk to Maiora about low frequency effects. He designed a system that makes wavefronts through water to simulate waves on a ship hull. This system can make waves as low as 500 mHz (1/2 Hz) at 185 dB underwater! I did witness an impressive theater system he displayed that could knock the ember from a cigar with just a drum kick! That system could do well over 145 dB at 13 Hz. It was also a good "aural laxative" as well. Extremely high levels of low frequency make one's bowels go into instant action.

The guy is basically the "Tim Allen" of sound. He isn't satisfied until the system can play pink noise for 24 hours at full output without damaging any part of the output system. He does challenge the structural integrity of most buildings though.

Ultra low clean bass basically depends on one's wallet. There's a simple formula. Depth of pocket is directly proportional to -3dB point! (anechoic) 🙂

Cheers!

I've never heard one, but they seem to rave about them on hometheaterforum.com . I'd like to get one once I graduate and have money.
