Anyone own an E-Machine Computer?

I'm sure they work okay. But read some of the points in my post above regarding cheaper computers. The audio, video, etc. is ususally not very good. they are usually also not tweaked, even to a decent degree. i'm not familiar with e-machines, but if they remove the pins/bridges, thengood luck trying to tweak it much after that. good luck upgrading a lot on a probably underpowered power supply. and good luck seeing those suckers lasting beyond 3-4 years.
 
Well, its too late for my friend. He was pushed into buying the EMachine. I hope it lasts for more than a month.

Its really not that bad in my experience, I have an eMachines from around 1999 or so and the only thing thats gone wrong is the power supply. Other than that its been stable and a good value for the minimal amount we paid...
 
I'm repairing my friend's E-Machine right now. This things are OEM hell. Crappy and shoody components everywhere. Now worth it at all. Dude, get a Dell.
