What is the difference between the

Micoms, like the Model NS-MYC18,

and the

Neuro, Model NS-JCC18?

Neuro are their fuzzy logic rice cooker. They will basically cook anything you want. Plain rice, porridge, brown rice, etc. And their capacity is usually 5 or 10 cups.

Micoms are their small rice cookers. They have a 3 cup capacity and have less settings than the neuros.

One of the Micom is a 10 cup model.
They are made in China, the Neuros are made in Japan.

<< Zojirushi can not be beat. you have not tasted rice until you tasted it coming from that rice cooker.

my mom uses it and it kicks my crappy cooker in the a$$

Some expensive rice cookers don't even use old school heater anymore. Instead, there are coils around the cavity and it heats the thick steel bowl through induction heating promising more consistent heating.

Tatung all the way! I know nothing of these "settings" you speak of. Real rice cookers only have an on/off switch :)

I think some of the Micoms are fuzzy logic also. How well does the fuzzy logic work and what variables does it take into account.

If you want the NS-JCC18 then try getting at costco. only 140 there compared to 200 elsewhere.

I have the one with the "elephant" on it. I dunno which one it is though. I'm too lazy to walk downstairs and look. :)
