From what I've read Tyler, you can't have a DVD-Burner on an iBook correct?

You can have an external one.

Thanks mpitts, I should have been more specific, I meant a DVD-Burner built in

I would, but I was told today by my fellow forum patrons that I'm too poor to afford a desk, so I guess it's out of the question.

No, iBooks do not have a DVD-R (or SuperDrive as they like to call it) available as a feature. You would have to purchase an external firewire drive.

On a side note, I have an external Pioneer DVR-105 that I use for my PCs and PowerBook and it is awesome. I have the 1x DVD-R built into my 15.2" PowerBook, but I wind up using the external drive more because it is so much faster. :D

Thanks mpitts, I didn't even think of that as an option as I do currently have a Win PC w/ a firewire port and purchasing one drive to do double duty would be cost effective
