Test drove an '01 Infinity I30 and it seems to be a lotta bang for the buck in it's class/price range.

If you own one, let me know what you think of it and how well it's held up for you.

It was at the top of my list when I was shopping for a car last year. However I'm a 23 year old male and when I showed the picture to my mom, she said "Looks like a great car, if you're 50". The vehicle seems excellent, proven great engine (VQ30DE), has HIDs and 17" wheels if you get the touring edition... however it was just too practical for me.

I have a 96 Maxima with 140K miles going strong. Same engine/tranny, and a very similar car. The few problems have been minor and probably worked out by 2001. So if you like how it drives and it's a good deal, I would go for it. Then get a front strut tower brace and rear sway bar to make it handle much better. :)

Cool. I really enjoyed the test drive and pretty sure I'm going to get it.
Then I'll have to find all the fanboy websites :)

You may want to check out the crash ratings if that's important to you. I don't remember, but I think it was marginal for some aspects.
Also drive it on rough pavement to make sure there are no sqeaks and rattles.

I was considering it for a while too. In the end the size (too big), ride (bland), and lack of overall features changed my mind.

my local carmax had a high mileage one on the lot, but I'm having them ship a different one over with a bit over 30K. it should be here in a week or less.
