I want a liteweight, take along printer to use with my laptop, the Canon's seem pricey. tho well designed. Maybe not as sturdy as the HP DeskJet 450 which is a bit too big for
my use. I'm leaning towards the Canon BJC-85 with the optional scanner cartridge, anyone here ever use that combo? Seems versatile if you need to Fax/scan on the road...I guess I can get along without any battery packs for now, I'll be working around 120VAC outlets. Any feedback would be great! TIA

I use a BJC-50 . I bought it because my new job was supposed to be 80% travel. Turned out to be more like 0.08% travel. The printer prints really good and I love not having to always plug it in. I have no real expeinece as I have only printed out maybe 10-15 pages (photos, graphs and charts and text) but what I have seen these things are sweet. BTW I am probably selling mine if youd be interested. Either route I would reccomend these printers.

I would highly recommend a BJC-85. I bought one in England while on an extended business trip and it has worked fine. It is fast and has a reasonably good print output quality, even in color. The scanner attachment really increases its versatility. And you can't beat the small size. I have nothing but good things to say about the BJC-85.
