So I picked up a tz77a for a good price. The options it included were very good for the price. So now im in the bios and I have never herd of half the terms in the OC tab. Im familiar with OC on the 920 but it seems a lot diff with 1155. Im using a 2600k. Anyone got a guide?

End of night EDIT: So it I can adjust the multy to 40 @4Ghz and run ok . IF I up to 4.5ghz I get bsod. so I up the vcor and no more bsod but temps hit 80c in a matter of a few secs. Will continue tomorrow.

So I was playing around and I found that LLC(Load line Calibration)? is the same as Vdroop? So I disabled it set vcore to 1.32 and Set the multy to 42 @ 4.2GHZ. Disabled c1e c6,c3 speedstep. I left memory at SPD setting? not sure if I need to change it, its running at 1600, Its rated at 2133 tho. With Intelburn its getting to around 70c on full load. That seems ok but I would like to make sure the rest of the settings are correct.

Quick EDIT: When at full load at hitting 70c, My Cooler feels cool to the touch. Should it be warm?

Nope.. That's a 120mm fan & it's doing it's job.. 70 isn't bad with that cooler.. if you use CPU Vcore Offset instead of a fixed voltage, you should be able to go up with multiplier some and make less heat during normal operation.

What would you suggest? I tired to hit 4.8 but I get stop 0x124 which from what I read points to qpi/vtt voltage. RAM is at 1.6v and vccio I upped to 1.2 and still get bsod.

From what I see of the board, it has tons of overclock features & should hit 4.5 pretty easy. Have you tried with CPU Vcore offset?

Ok with vcor fixed at 1.33v I can run 4.5ghz. Also mem at 2134.At 4.8ghz I have tried offset .02 and upped the vcc io to 1.8 and can get into windows, If I run like ibt I hit 80c easy then bsod. that's also with vcor at 1.4v

Offset .02? Gonna need more than that.. I don't know this board & chip but my offset is .25 and high as .28 at 4ghz.
